Brush Site Officially Open for the Season (April 8)

BRUSH SITE OPEN FOR THE SEASON (APRIL 8)

The City of Willmar will open its Brush Disposal/Compost Site to the public beginning on Monday, April 8, 2024. The site is located 3 miles west of Willmar on Trunk Highway 40 to County Road 116 (75th Street SW).

The hours of operation at this time will be:
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays from 9 am to 6 pm.

The Brush Site is open for City of Willmar residents only. Rules are as follows:
• No Contractors
• No Mechanical Dumping
• No Dump Trucks
• No Dump Trailers
• No logs over 18” round allowed
• No lumber or garbage
• No firewood may be removed
• No boxes, plastic bags, or plastic of any type may be left at the site
• Mechanical loading of compost is prohibited

The compost facility will accept leaves, grass clippings, and garden clippings only. Residents should note that leaves, grass, and garden materials must be separated from brush and branches. The facility does not accept stump grindings. Finished compost material is available for general public use. The site will be closed May 27 for Memorial Day, and September 2 for Labor Day. No other days will be substituted for these holidays.
